Chorus Auditions to be Held September 8

The Washington Bach Consort is holding chorus auditions on Saturday, September 8. Repertoire for this 30th anniversary season includes the B-Minor Mass, Christmas Oratorio, St. Matthew Passion, six cantatas, and the Mass in A Major. About the Author

Executive Director Robert Massey began his professional career as a trumpeter with the Memphis Symphony Orchestra while still a teenager. He moved to Boston and upon graduating from the New England Conservatory, joined the Boston Symphony Orchestra as both a Production Assistant and regular substitute musician. He served as Cultural Affairs Director for the United States Foundation in Paris and returned to the States to create the highly successful IRIS Chamber Orchestra in Germantown, Tennessee, where he also served as the ensemble’s first Orchestra Manager. Since coming to Washington, he has held administrative positions with The Phillips Collection, Washington National Opera, and “The President’s Own” United States Marine Band.
